My Lenten journey begins today - progressing toward a healthier mind, body and soul. Being no right way to achieve this, it is very vague. I plan to attend mass every sunday, get outside and get active about three times a week, & to reserve time for myself to read, craft, blog, etc (anything stimulating and positive).
Do more good for myself and others.

…return to the LORD, your God.
For gracious and merciful is he,
slow to anger, rich in kindness,
and relenting in punishment.

With February coming to an end, I have a handful of projects I am dying to get started. I am so thrilled my side table is done, and it has inspired me to fix up my couch. I am currently looking for slipcover fabric :) Hopefully a photo of an improved, white, comfy couch will be posted before March - but don’t hold me to it. The other two projects I am starting to scheme are inspiring my whole living room. So ready for this re-vamp!
DIY - Painted Rug

I plan to begin this DIY project as soon as possible, because it may take a while to tackle. I found the project on the blog link above, and the blogger includes great tips! The color I want to bring into the room is inspired by Pantone HoneySuckle

The color is fun, fabulous and a little crazy. But I really want to bring some fun into the room! This could be a fail, but I have my fingers crossed!
And last but not least - a gallery wall. I have a collection of inspiring, memorable and meaningful photos, quotes, dates, etc. A gallery wall is the best way to bring all of these together in a cohesive way!

DIY - Rustic Side Table
Easy as Pie! My boyfriend made this for me in about 2 hours. We bought two long panels of unfinished wood, dark chestnut stain, nails, and sandpaper from Home Depot. We rented an electric saw as well, and with that included, our total was a little under $50. We He measured the side table to be the exact length as the width of my couch, like the inspiration photo shows. I have some favorite magazines and a white vintage flower vase on it, but cannot wait for it to be next to a WHITE couch :)

Ever since I saw this photo from Pinterest, (originally a photograph sold on Etsy) I HAD to have it. So this weekend was dedicated to finding the perfect set of antlers!
Luckily, I live in Auburn, AL… close to a couple amazing antique malls. With my sisters help, I found these antlers (below) for 50% off at Angels Antiques. I also found this fab trunk/chest with original leather handles… for 20 bucks. All too perfect.

I bought a couple different fake, white flowers from Hobby Lobby and took them apart. The petals come off in pairs of three and made it really easy to mix & match them to get a unique look. The whole thing came together with a hot glue gun (duh). I am obsessed with my ‘shabby chic’ deer antlers.. now deciding where to put them!

:)
Until next weekend….

I know its still January (unfortunately) but I am craving color, specifically neons and PINK.
Wedding gift keepsake for a friend.
I love the character of a homemade gift. This necklace was inspired by a piece my sister {Jackie} and I made with our last name on it. I love that my sister and I have the same necklace and can wear it everyday..just like we did in middle school. Except this one is simple and delicate with a touch of our own personality on each. I also love that I could give something unique and special to my newly-wed friend. I chose to stamp her wedding date, but thought initials, or her new last name would be great too.
Made at a fabulous bead store: PERCH. Auburn, AL.
jars for bathroom organizing.
If you are anything like me and are somewhat of a hoarder in your bathroom (ie: you keep close-to-empty bottles of lotion, perfume, & shampoo; you find makeup brushes in various drawers; you have trouble locating daily necessities like q-tips), then you could really use a handy storage solution.
50% off at Hobby Lobby ($1.50-3.50each) and come in many different sizes and styles.
